Driver's license test in Turkey
Obtaining a driver's license in Turkey requires passing a driver's license exam, which consists of two stages: the theoretical exam and the practical exam.
The theoretical exam is the first step and evaluates the applicant's knowledge of traffic laws and regulations, safe driving procedures, and first aid.
The Turkish theoretical driving test includes 50 questions that must be answered within 45 minutes on a computer with a touch screen.
The passing score is 70%, and if the applicant fails, they can retake the exam up to four times.
Passing the theoretical exam qualifies the applicant to take the practical exam and drive under the supervision of a certified driving inspector.
To apply for the driver's license exam, you must meet certain conditions, such as being a Turkish citizen or a foreign resident in Turkey, having reached the minimum age required for the type of license you want, and not having a criminal record.
You must collect the necessary documents to obtain the Turkish driving license, pay the training fees, and submit the required documents to a driving school. Then, attend the training course and take both the theoretical and practical exams to get the success document.
The best and fastest way to pass the Turkish driving theory test is to review the correct answers at the end of the test. If you do not pass on the first attempt, try again and review your mistakes each time. Eventually, you will pass after several attempts.
