اللغة الإنجليزية هي اللغة الأولى التي يتم التحدث بها في المملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة ، وبالطبع تواصل الاحتفاظ بأولويتها في المناطق التي استعمرها الإنجليز منذ مئات السنين .
