What is the best alternative for WhatsApp?

When comapnies get very big then eat all its competitors ... the consumer become slave for it ... companies like Facebook and WhatsApp and others ... force us to use their services and pay them with no argument ... and they getting bigger and bigger

Whatsapp now has more then 2 billion users... simply whatsapp own them!... whatsapp selling us selling our privacy ... we are very valuable goods for whatsapp !... and this lead to a lot of problems... one of them disrespecting for users privacy.

After the WhatsApp application went to violate the privacy of users.. Which alternative application would you prefer? Why?
